Black refractory adhesive, light grey firing unglazed, white firing glazed. For repairing bisque pottery. Tried and tested for decades at operating temperatures up to 1250°C (manufacturer's specification up to 1100°C applies to other applications) and is suitable for earthenware and stoneware clay. The bonding areas can be glazed over, only translucent glazes can make the bonding area visible, as the adhesive burns out light underneath glaze. To minimize changes to the glaze caused by the adhesive, we recommend applying an engobe, e.g. Engobe 800, between the area treated with Thermocoll and the glaze.
The bonding areas should be moistened before use.
